Alexander and his companions continue their journey to the capital hoping to gain support from the emperor. Time is of the essence though as the forces of darkness accelerate their plans.
My family purchased this as a gift for me at a local craft fair where they met the author and got the first 3 books signed. I felt this second book was a bit harder to follow as the characters are more in exposition setting up for the big event coming in book 3 ( I assume based on context). But it also was switching characters rather quickly so you need to stay on track with who is doing what and where. Its still a fun series and I am curious how things pan out after the ending of this one. As per the last book, just formatting was a big issue for me and some spelling errors. But I appreciated the author adding whose POV we followed in for some of the book, wish more chapters did this for when I have to go a bit without reading.
