A terrific read. Savannah and Tatum's book was great. A woman who would do anything to save her family's company and the man who's been in love with her forever, when they finally get together watch out you're going to need some ice water while reading this book. Can't wait for more of this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I really enjoyed the opening scenes of this book. The heroine, Savannah, is trying to get to town to meet with a corrupt banker to attempt to get an extension on the bank loan that she is behind on, and almost gets swept away in a Texas flash flood and literally gets stuck up in a tree with the hero, Tatum, whom she hates. (To be fair, Tatum pretty much deserves this after he tricks Savannah into thinking that he is his twin brother in order to sleep with her.) What follows is an adorable back and forth tap-dance between the two as they finally work their way into each other's lives. What I liked: Tatum! I'm a sucker for a story line where a guy has harbored a secret crush for years and then finally acts on it. Did I agree with his methods? Nope! But his selfless act late in the story where he gives Savannah the freedom she needs to "find herself" and the freedom she needs to make a choice... that was so sweet. What I didn't like: The writing was a bit choppy, and the segways between sections were rather abrupt at times. The story also jumped around a bit too much from past to present, and sometimes I wasn't sure where the story was. I also felt like there could have been so much more depth given to Savannah's character. The author just barely skimmed over the reasons why Savannah was so awkward with Tatum, and I think that the entire story would have benefitted from a bit more exploration of this. That was really a missed opportunity. I also wish that the author would have had Savannah and Tatum date a bit before deciding that they were going to jump right into getting married. This may be just a story, but I really hate it when an otherwise smart, tough heroine acts like such an impractical airhead. Simply discovering that you love someone doesn't mean that you have to marry them within 5 minutes of that discovery. Overall, this was just an okay read for me. 3 stars.
The Wrong Cowboy is an emotional and exhausting tale. Savannah needs to save her company, so she asks her neighbor and pseudo boyfriend, Chandler, to marry her so they can merge their families' companies. Chandler isn't very thrilled with the idea, after all, he and Savannah certainly don't love each other, may not even like each other much. When Chandler's twin brother, Tatum, finds out, he's determined to stop their engagement. You see, he's been in love Savannah forever, and the thought of her choosing Chandler over him kills him. His actions after he finds out just may put a permanent crimp on his and Savannah's relationship, because not only does Chandler break up with her, but she walks out and doesn't speak to either brother again.
Honestly, I was feeling a bit lost throughout most of The Wrong Cowboy. The author threw me into the story and it was as if I was supposed to know what was going on, and I didn't know know, didn't have any idea because Savannah and Tatum's backstory wasn't detailed clearly. I constantly felt underwater, as if I was out of the loop, and it wasn't a good feeling. I did end up liking both Savannah and Tatum, though, and that saved me from rating this even lower than 3.5 stars. I thought they had good chemistry and their emotions were intense (and exhausting). I just wish their past were given more weight so that their present made more sense.
I found myself generally liking The Wrong Cowboy by the end, though. Savannah and Tatum are both likable characters with hot chemistry. I wish there had been an epilogue, but I have a good feeling they'll make it to an HEA.

He's Not The Wrong Cowboy For Her! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Poor Savannah was brought up and played with the Sloan twin boys - Chandler and Tatum. Chandler is the 'heir' apparent to the family money and Tatum is left to be the playboy cowboy and just the 'spare' to his brother's heir. Tatum is lonely and feels unloved but he is in love, and has been for years, with Savannah. Savannah's father has run off leaving massive debts and her mum is ailing. With medical bills and other bills getting her deeper in debt as she tries to salvage the ranch and her mum's horses. She turns to Chandler and asks if he will marry her to help her save her family home but it can be in name only. But he has issues with an ex so no agreement is agreed upon there and then. One night, after hearing this conversation, Tatum sneaks into Savannah's room and makes wild and passionate love to her pretending to be his brother as he thinks he will never be with her otherwise. But this was a bad move as will Savannah forgive him if and when she finds out?? What is going to happen? Will Chandler agree and marry her? Will Tatum man up and admit his true feelings for Savannah? All this you will find out when you get yourself a copy of this book and read it for yourself. I felt so very sorry for Savannah and her mum as none of this was their fault and her father was a coward to leave them in the lurch like this. As for Tatum?? He needed to grow a backbone and tell her that he loved her before duping her. What had been a beautiful and passionate encounter was ruined when she finds out of his deception. How it will all play out is well worth reading and I do encourage you to read this yourself. RECOMMENDED.
From the authors "Somewhere, TX" (In the Heart of Texas Series), we have this wonderfully written, emotional, heart tugging, hair pulling, they're so right for each other, cowboy romance. Wheww that's a long sentence. This story tugs at your heart strings in it's sorrow, anger and long awaited happiness. The heroine has, and is going through, so much heartbreaking events in her young life. She must harden herself to the actions she must take in order for her and her family to survive. Meanwhile the cowboy feels emotionally abandoned by members of his family and only sees what he feels is another loss to his brother; the woman he has always wanted and loved. He takes his revenge, but it causes even more heartbreak. How these two decide to handle the ups and downs they've been given makes for one big emotional ride. This reader got upset, excited, let out some OH NOO's but kept reading it till the end, and so will you. Make sure you block off some time cause once you start reading it, you won't put it down till you've get to the THANK GOD ending.

Tatum and Savannah were enemies. They hated each other, they were childhood friends until Savannah's father left her and her mother and she changed. Tatum secretly loved Savannah but did not tell her. She was about to lose her business and would do anything to keep it even marry Chandler Tatum's twin brother.
Tatum has other ideas and sleeps with Savannah. Savannah thinking it was Chandler until he smiles at the end now it's to late and she can't marry Chandler to save her business. It is one year later and Savannah is still in the whole still owes money she does not have and what she thinks she needs is a rich husband.
Chandler warns Tatum against Savannah calling her a user which is what she sort of is but she calls It surviving. This was a pleasant read and I could not wait to see if Tatum and Savannah got together for their HEA and you know one thing in their case is the hate for each means love.
Savannah is in trouble because of a deal she made when she was a young scared girl. She was only string to keep her family’s business and home. The deal with devil has come to ask for the payment or she’ll lose everything. She turns to her childhood friend Chandler Sloan with a marriage for business only that will benefit them both and save the company her father built. That is until the night his brother decides to play him and pull on over on Savannah and hope in her bed playing Chandler. Savannah is confused and hurt when she learns it’s Chatham and what they expiencenced was amazing and he learns about her proposal to his brother. The whole thing turns into a mess and they are both hurt. Seems they both have had feelings from long ago about each other. I really enjoyed this book as well as the previous books in this series. Can be read as a stand alone. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Very well written awesome story. She is trying to keep the family trucking business afloat and tries to get one of the sloan brothers to marry her and do certain things that will help her. The other one has always loved her. This is a must read to see all the information of the story. I loved and enjoyed it very much. I have a read again list and this is on the top of it. It has lots of emotions, love, hot, and so much more. I was given a review copy by book sprout and voluntarily review it.
Savannah took over her father’s trucking business at 19 and also cares for her mother. Now the business is in trouble and she agrees to marry, the only problem it isn’t the Sloan twin she wants. When her chances are ruined she must find another to marry. Can she go through with it? Lots of drama and emotion in this fast-paced read. I liked the characters as well as the story.
What a mess to step in and take over at nineteen years of age but what else could Savannah do. Business can be difficult and she does the only thing she felt she could do. Both Chandler and Tatum growing up look at life differently. A well written and perfectly paced story.

This was a great read. Savannah is a young woman wanting to save her families company. She asks her old child hood friend to do a favor for her. This storyline and plot were captivating and were great.
I got this as an ARC reader. This book was Good. The ending could have been a little better. Like what happen in a year or two? Did they have any kids?

*Well-written with only a few typos/errors.
This book broke my heart over and over. If you love a good, angsty romance, you should read this. I wish the happy ending lasted longer, but that is a personal preference since many authors essentially just tell us they lived happily ever after. After all the emotional angst, it would have been nice to see them happy for just a little longer before saying goodbye to them.
Like with all romances, so much pain could have been prevented if any of the characters were good at communicating. In this case, no one communicates about their feelings or their lives at all, so many assumptions are made, and all of them are unfair to Savannah. The way this story is set up, there would still have been plenty of angst even if the characters did communicate, which I kept wishing they would. Tatum makes a lot of assumptions about Savannah and is cruel to her simply because he believes that she doesn’t have feelings for him, or at all for that matter. But Savannah feels deeply, and Tatum’s unnecessary cruelty breaks her heart repeatedly, but she still tries to stay strong because people depend on her. Tatum assumes that Savannah is his twin’s girlfriend because they go to events together. Tatum assumes that Savannah is just a gold digger and essentially a whore. Tatum truly makes an ass of himself with all his assumptions. Through Tatum, we see the darker side of romance— how you’ll destroy when you believe your love is unrequited. Through Savannah, we see the dark side of self-sacrificing— how it can cost you your soul.
None of the following spoils the book since you find out most of these details in the beginning, but the rest of this review discusses parts of the plot.
This book did a great job at representing how women, especially when they are young, have to make tough choices to survive in a difficult situation, and others will often judge them unfairly for it. Throughout the story, we see that the difficult decisions you make to survive when you’re young will continue to affect you and haunt you for the rest of your life. Nothing about Savannah’s life has been fair since her father abandoned her and her mother when she was 19, leaving Savannah to deal with his crippling debt if she wanted to be able to keep her home and take care of her mother (who has dementia). She wasn’t offered any good choices, so she chose what she thought was better for everyone else, even at the expense of her soul.
Tatum is too privileged to understand what it is like for Savannah. He believes she should stop worrying about money and just give up her family business. He doesn’t understand that it would mean being homeless with her mom and that it would make her friend Margarita and Margarita’s three boys homeless, too. He doesn’t understand that keeping her business is her only way to earn an income. He doesn’t understand that caring for a mother with dementia means that she has to be the responsible one and carry the world on her shoulders because there is no one else to help her. It’s easy to tell someone not to worry about money when you have never had to worry about it. Tatum comes from a wealthy family, so he doesn’t really think about what it means not to have money. He acts like he is down to earth because he doesn’t live lavishly and likes to build motorcycles, but he still has never had to worry about money, where he would live, or how he would take care of his family. It isn’t until the end of the book that he starts trying to understand what Savannah is going through because, throughout the entire book, he keeps assuming instead of asking. I honestly wish he had to grovel to make up for his cruelty, but Savannah is so tired of being in pain that she just wants to be happy and move on from the hell her life has been in the last ten years.
