I write light, easy romance novels that are fun to read and have a lot of heart. My characters are quirky and engaging, the kind of people you'd love to hang out with. The romance is real, the heat level medium--the tiniest sprinkling of spice to make it just right. In a previous life, I published with mainstream imprints like BET Arabesque, Dafina, and Harlequin Kimani, but now I've gone full indie. The adventure has begun! Also, I’m from Trinidad and Tobago, in the sunny (okay, sometimes wet) Caribbean. I think that brings a lot of saucy fun to my writing.
For a romance book, this novel was more drama than romance. It addressed some serious issues such as sexual harassment, revenge porn via naked photos, blackmail, and suicide. Overall, forgiveness between the main characters and also between Elliott and his father was key to everyone moving forward.
The main characters are sweet. Bee, Gina, & Gina’s parents are a bonus. Elliott and Shani deserved their HEA. It was long time coming.

I know all about the fear of abandonment ruining good relationships. It takes that special person to make you want to fight your fears and insecurities enough to take a chance. Glad Elliott was able to do that and start mending his relationship with his father.
Slow to start, I found myself completely bored with Intimate Exposure, but I'd be lying if I didn't say the story grew on me. It turned out to be a very pleasant read. Quite well written and salacious enough to spice up a boring afternoon in Boston's Logan International Airport, I found myself so engrossed in the book that 2 of the 6 hours I waited for a delayed flight, just kind of passed by enjoyably. I must emphasize that I didn't enjoy this book because I had no others - I had quite a few. I recommend this quick one. It's the perfect beach read.
I had to stop reading when Shani took her 3 year old daughter to the hospital because she was puking and had a fever AND this hospital decided to keep her there for "a few of days." What alternate universe does this book take place in? Such a crappy plot device to give mama some child free time. A otherwise healthy child who is fighting a common virus does not need hospitalization.
Elliott had demons, Shani had a secret. Can they work their way through and pass these things to a good life. Will Beatrice "Bee" be hurt or happy in the end.
