I read it the first time over 50 years ago for school & decided to reread it on its 100th anniversary. It's been a long time since I read a book so well written. The descriptions are amazing. It's nice to read a well written book once in awhile.

This book ranks up there with the best of the best. Jay Gatsby is one of my favorite characters of all time; Daisy makes me nuts to treat him so badly. I loved the setting - the roaring 20s - and I loved all the hidden meanings and themes. Read it and save it for your special bookshelf!

I read this book a very long time ago when I thought I had not read enough classics.
