I was looking for a tutorial of FORTRAN and i think this is a really good one.
Probably it is very long (more than 500 pages), but it can be read fluently. Every chapter is divided in short parts, explaining one or two ideas, and including short example codes.
The second part of the book is full of longer commented examples, showing each one one or two new things. This second part is even faster to read.
