4.5 stars. This audiobook is a collection of six powerful talks that he has given over the years. I love the way he combines personal experiences with scriptures in such an insightful and humble way. His thoughts are inspiring, as is the way he studies and seeks truth. I have learned so much from him.
What an enjoyable experience we had listening to Brother Michael Wilcox give several talks in different settings which were recorded. The subjects were ones we can use to make our daily lives better and draw closer to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We really were happy that Brother Wilcox did his own narration and speaking. I have found that when the author reads his own work, the meaning is deeper and the true message is brought out. We enjoyed his many personal examples in his teaching of a principle, and also his interjection of many literary passages and authors which really enhanced the presentation. I have learned to appreciate Brother Wilcox's style of teaching; it's easy going, but simply explained. He is very unpretentious and humble, but has great knowledge of the spiritual subjects he taught. I would welcome more of his talks to listen to in the future.
This audiobook consists of six CDs, each one a separate talk he gave between 2004 and 2010. Each talk is different, and feels slightly different. If you are a Michael Wilcox fan, you will enjoy this.
I have listened to all of this twice and one of the CD's at least four times. Wilcox' perspective is unique. He weaves personal stories with scriptures and makes you feel better about yourself and want to try harder, study more and become better.
This is a collection of several of his essays/talks. He just has such a way with the scriptures and finding some meaning in everything he reads. I've learned a lot by reading his stuff.
