Beyond Hate: Living with our differences

Rate this book
During the September 1992 Beyond Hate: Living with our deepest Differences conference, the American improvisational pianist, John Bayless, gave a concert to an enthusiastic audience of conference participants and guests. His repertoire ranged from Beethoven to Gershwin, from We Shall Overcome to Danny Boy. Bayless captivated his audience. His ability to go 'beyond' familiar music, to create 'new' music from 'different' musical scores was an artistic metaphor challenging us to find concrete ways to move 'beyond hate' and learn how to 'live with our deepest differences'.
