Snowbound Heart

Rate this book
All Clare Thornton wanted was a relaxing vacation in the mountains learning how to ski, but a snowstorm causes her to wreck her car and seek out shelter in a seemingly abandoned cabin. But when the famous movie star Logan Longcross walks through the door of the cabin Clare finds herself on trail by a man who fiercely guards his privacy and does not accept her innocent explanations of the car crash as her reason for showing up on his doorstep. When the snow clears and a famous movie producer shows up at the door of the cabin expecting to find his wife in the arms of the famous star, Clare suddenly becomes Logan's faux fiancée. They both must do the acting of their lives if they are to convince the producer that he should consider Logan's movie proposal and that Clare and Logan are lovers. But is the love they display really an act?

Good love story.

Good love story. A strong woman with a passion for writing and a kind heart. The way it described the snow and the slopes made me want to go there.

A sweet clean romance by Jennifer Blake. Being stranded by a snowstorm starts the
turbulent realationship between Clare and Logan. Add in a vindictive Janine who wants Logan all to herself. This book is #6 in the series, so I will be reading more by Jennifer Blake.

Snowbound themed clean contemporary romance with a incognito movie star and a single lady looking for some vacation.
We get a sweet Clare Thornton who is totally clueless about snow and changeable mountain weather so it is not much of a surprise when she wrecks her car and gets stuck on the mountain. She should have died on the mountain, but she gets lucky to find a cabin and the hottest actor Logan Longcross. They are very distrustful, which is the most honest part of this story because strangers stuck in a snowbound cabin without power would be thinking serial killer daymares scenarios which is the only part of this story that I really enjoyed.
Then there is a bunch of blah twisty sexual harassment with the movie producer's wife and a ski accident.
This was a quick read with a really obvious plot.

Considering the first novel was release in 1972 or something along those lines, the novel is so very current. I have the older copy myself, so i really found nothing that would suggest it came from that far back. I did like the story and the characters minus the villain, her husband really should beat her...
