Decent short read. Illustrations were cute. But... The lesson in this story was a bit harsh. If the beavers didn't want the tree the bear would've died.. All the animals were okay with that.. I understand the bear was selfish, but geesh. This is a children's book. At least the bear was saved and they did scold him for being selfish. But smh..

The artwork was beautiful, but the story was very dark, especially for a kids' book. If the beavers didn't want the tree. The bear would have died anyway.
