Venice Vampyr #1-3

Venice Vampyr: The Beginning

Rate this book

The first 3 Novellas in the Venice Vampyr series, a historical, paranormal romance about a group of vampires in 1800s Venice, Italy.

Novella #1 (Venice Vampyr)

Isabella Tenderini, a wealthy merchant's widow rescues a stranger from drowning in one of Venice's canals. And how does the man repay her selfless act? By kissing her - her, a respectable woman.

Not only is Raphael di Santori grateful for his life being saved, he would also like to thank his rescuer very intimately - more intimately than decorum allows. But then, Raphael has never been one to play by the rules - as a vampire he doesn't have to.

Novella #2 (Venice Vampyr: Final Affair)

Viola Costa has been given three months to live but she refuses to die a virgin. She travels to Venice where she wants to experience physical pleasure with a man without causing a scandal for her family. Afterward, she plans to take her own life to ensure she exits the world painlessly and with dignity. Unfortunately, the man she meets in a disreputable club couldn’t be a worse choice for her plans.

Dante di Santori, a hedonistic vampire, saves Viola from a violent rake. To stop her from seeking out even more dangerous men to find carnal pleasures, he offers her a night of passion in his arms, only to discover she’s a virgin.

Viola flees, disdainful of the carnal act and determined to end her life. Horrified, Dante stops Viola from harming herself and proceeds to deliver the pleasure he promised – one kiss and one touch at a time until she’s ready to take all of him, over and over again.

Then events force Dante’s hand ...

Novella #3 (Venice Vampyr - Sinful Treasure)

When vampire rake Lorenzo Conti finds a beautiful woman sleeping in the bedchamber of his newly acquired home, he believes her to be a housewarming gift bestowed upon him by his thoughtful friends. There’s only one thing to do with such a delicious present: ravish her!

The mysterious Bianca rushes to Venice upon her father’s death but arrives too late: the house that she believes to contain a priceless treasure has already been sold. Hoping the new owner won’t move in for another few days, she breaks in to search for her father’s elusive treasure.

But when Lorenzo discovers her, she has to think fast and find a way to remain at the house to continue her search. And what better way than to seduce the new owner?

Total Length: approx. 97,000 words / approx. 450 pages on the Nook

These vampire novellas are more explicit and steamier than my other books.

Venice Vampyr - The Beginning (Novellas 1 - 3) (Venice Vampyr)
By, Tina Folsom

Venice vampyr # 1
Venice Vampyr #2 Final Affair
Venice Vampyr #3 Sinful Treasure

I’m a big fan of stories based in the 1800’s.
This set of novels are based in the early 1800’s In Venice Italy.
I love how Tina Folsom wrote these 3 novels.
She put the sexy in the vampyr even more.
It’s one of them books that are hard to put down, I sure didn’t want to.
It’s hot dark and spicy.
I enjoyed it very much:)
Very great set of books and I can’t wait to read some more of her books.

Happy Reading Everyone!!

I had the pleasure of listening to this on audiobook & enjoyed every moment! As with all of Mrs.Folsom's novels/novellas it is steamy hot from beginning to end! I must say, I believe the narrator (Eric G. Dove) is the best I have heard & I look forward to hearing his work again. The emotion really came through in his voice.

I love this authors Scanguards series but this just left me going meh.
I have owned these books for ages but bought the box set for some reason. Not quite sure why I did that.
Due to the time setting these books tend towards old fashioned words and speech. Not my thing.
1 - VENICE VAMPYR
Set in the early 1800's these stories are slightly old fashioned in manner of speech and I found this a bit boring. Historical romances are not my thing.
Isabella is such a smart and courageous woman, well ahead of her times in the early 1800’s in Venice.
Having to deal with her late husband’s obnoxious cousin Massimo was annoying enough but to then learn her late husband was not as good as she thought and what had happened to him. Ouch.
I loved how Raphael proved to Isabella she could trust him but what a bummer having Massimo burst in like that.
I really liked Isabella and thought her brave when she tailed Raphael, thinking he was cheating on her but loved what she did protecting Raphael.
Though this is not discussed Isabella is well suited to becoming a vampire.
Read in the box set of books 1-3. This book is the best of the bunch to me.
2 - FINAL AFFAIR
Set in the early 1800's these stories are slightly old fashioned in manner of speech and I found this a bit boring. Historical romances are not my thing.
I felt sorry for Viola for what was happening to her but it did not negate my thinking she was an idiot at the start of this book. While I can understand Viola’s wishes I cannot agree with how she went about them. Her actions and behaviour were stupid and thoughtless, especially for those times.
She is lucky Dante beat up Salvatore or her life would have been over even sooner than she planned.
I am not a fan of Rakes (manwhores) being the heroes in stories, it just never feels right to me but Dante certainly had an ego on him which I found funny.
Interesting how everything was ended.
Read in the box set of books 1-3.
3 - SINFUL TREASURE
Really struggled to finish this as I didn’t care for Bianca or her actions. Only managed to finish it as it was in the box set and I wanted to see what was happening re the Guardians. Quite exciting what the treasure turned out to be.
Lorenzo was okay but once again a Rake (manwhore) as the hero.
Read in the box set of books 1-3.

I have been reading the scanguards vampire series, which is ok, so I thought I'd give these a go. These are much more erotica rather than romance. I enjoy the details that are in the scanguards series but these short stories really don't have much detail, except for in the sex scenes. I usually enjoy the build up on romance between characters and these short stories don't have much romance build up. If you're looking for a good erotica book, this is good though. It's written well and there is certainly enough sex in it.

Three novellas, lots of hotness! I loved the Scanguards series, and wanted to try more from this author... what do you know, it was .99 for this steal!

The heroes were a perfect mix of dangerous and tender, dominant yet considerate. The heroines were pretty good, they weren't overly sassy and probably won't stick in my memory for long, but that's the genre for you.

Pick up this collection if you like your vamps to be cultured with an air of dangerous, and you like your smut a little more on the steamy side.

This was a spicy read, and while it didn't offer anything unique to the popular vampire theme, I enjoyed it. The third novel,a was my favorite of the three, though the second one was a close second place. Nothing too thought provoking or intense, just enough of everything to keep me interested and hot under the collar at the right times. This was my first read by Tina Folsom and I don't think it will be my last. It's always nice to know who to turn to for when you want an easy, erotic read.

After reading the first Scanguards novel I quickly dived into Venice Vampyr expecting a similar writing style even though this was a historical. Unfortunately this novella is not even close to the wonderful vampire story Samson's Lovely Mortal. I thought the vampire elements could have been a lot stronger and well the story could have been developed more as well. It was a quick easy read and I appreciated the historical details and hot scenes, but Tina Folsom's Scanguard series is much better.

Venice Vampyr - The Beginning includes all 3 books of Venice Vampyr series.

The series covers 3 vampires & their collision w/fate as they meet their mates. The setting for the stories is Venice, Italy in the early 1800s. I think Tina Folsom did an amazing job of delivering great stories w/the appropriate cultural mannerisms of that time. The suspense, action, & romance in each story is perfect.

Deel #1 al gelezen (17-04-2016)... denk niet dat deel #2 en #3 ooit aan de beurt komen. LOL!
Tenzij ik wéér voor een challenge een historical boek nodig heb! ;-)
