He kept doing his 'circling' around to the center of happenings: over and over: less like an advancing argument than being unwilling to get to the point. Minor characters kept getting their tunes played in scene after scene that, more or less built to the climax but didn't really need to be there. If I didn't love the initial three in the series and believe strongly in King's ability to wow me later, I'd have dropped out on this one. Also, I had it on audible.

All that said, King's a fun storyteller. He's everybody's acceptably dirty grandpa that your parents only let you see from time to time.
