Gutter is an award-winning, high quality, printed journal for fiction and poetry from writers born or living in Scotland. The editors believed there is a need for an energetic, ambitious magazine dedicated exclusively to the best in new Scottish creative writing. Issue 04 features published and emerging writers alike ,including Zoe Wicomb, Jason Donald, Nick Brooks, Allan Cameron, Jim Carruth, Brian Johnstone, Rodge Glass, Doug Johnstone, Lesley McDowell, Gordon Meade, Douglas S. Murray, Cynthia Rogerson, Dilys Rose, Christie Williamson, and Graeme Williamson, as well as a mini-feature on Samizdat banned East German literary magazines from the 1970s and 1980s.
