Welcome to the story of the notorious almost forgotten American Prophet Matthias. The book Pretty Devilish exposes the realities of walking in the shadows of men, who claimed to be living prophets of God! We expose the hardships endured, experienced, and survived by American citizens. Their search for a utopian society is strange, tragic, and inspirational. This is our opportunity to learn what some American trailblazers & citizens endured! It is their story, not ours! Correlating the hard-to-find details reveal a magnificent story of love, lust, and claimed demonic possession. Finally, after almost two hundred years, the picture is complete. Our investigation provides evidence from each of the main protagonists. Looking at the correlated version of events, we find a narrative exposing the realities of desperation, lust, and fear. We expose the tragic events of delusion, from the dreams of youth, into the desires of the man who called himself Prophet Matthias. His life reveals the dangers of isolation, intolerance, and self-delusion, especially when connected with good and evil claimed spirit entities! After comparing information from diaries, newspapers, court records, and public domain documents, we learn how a man claimed he was a prophet, then, due to his actions, found himself on trial for his life. During our investigation, we expose shocking details of immortality, death, and claimed demonic possession, as Prophet Matthias continued his interaction with Sojourner-Truth and New York Society. Using hindsight, we can learn from the experiences of God-fearing Americans living in a brave new world! Some of these trailblazers fought for the freedom of speech and liberty. We are the armchair jury, reviewing the experiences of American citizens whose lives were full of dreams and terrible disappointments. The unveiled new information differs dramatically from Stone's narrative, as presented in 1835. Additional historical information presents a comprehensive overview entirely overlooked or forgotten by historians and society. Facts are stranger than fiction, especially when investigating the claims of the wealthy members of the New York Society. Our challenge is to compare details, then decide which version we believe! As society continues evolving, we, like our forefathers, are expanding our understanding of freedom and justice. Unquestionably, all lives matter regardless of ethnicity, gender, color, or religion. As an African American woman, Sojourner-Truth understood that her life mattered. Additionally, she also learned through her experiences the importance of speaking the truth at all times. Combining Sojourner-Truths words and actions during the New York years presents a vision of strength, honesty, and endurance, which she wants us in today's society to understand, regardless of our ethnicity. Sojourner-Truth was, in many ways, New York's first Black Lives Matter activist! Pretty Devilish exposes the emotions caused by the lustful desires of American citizens lost in a nightmare of immorality and claimed demonic possession.
