In The Tabernacle of David, author Kevin Conner details the many forms of worship experienced by the Hebrews in Zion, the City of David. Learn about the history of the Ark of the Covenant and trace the roots of the New Testament Church to the time of David. The book explores the eternal Davidic Kingdom and the significance of David's life story, as well as music history and musicians and instruments in biblical times.
Thorough study on David's Tabernacle. I really enjoyed this until the author began writing on "Rock Music". He started by sharing that music is amoral in itself, but then eventually presented rock music specifically as immoral in its foundation. The principles were still good, but you could really feel a shift in his tone, which deviated from the rest of the study. It appeared as this was a particular area of frustration for him. Other than that, a great study.
The amount of work done and study on this subject is praiseworthy. Whether you agree or disagree with all Kevin Conner has written you cannot say it is because he hasn't done his homework. He is thorough and uses Scripture and history to make his case. Well worth the read.
