I read this years ago. As is usual with SF compilations, I find that some are very good, others I have totally forgotten. Three of the best in this collection, which are five stars, are: Clifford D. Simak “Grotto of the dancing deer”; L. Sprague de Camp, “Aristotle and the gun”; and, Jack Williamson, “With folded hands”.
A collection of 11 short stories published in this format in 1983, the stories originally were published between 1945 and 1964 except for one outlier from 1980. Favorites were Pandora's Planet by Christopher Anvil and AE van Vogt's The Purpose. Certainly for those who like older more classic sci Fi.
