Provides robust coverage of the different branches of chemistry ¿ with unique depth in organic chemistry in an introductory text ¿ helping students to develop a solid understanding of chemical principles, how they interconnect, and how they can be applied to our lives.
The newest 4th additions are split into two volumes, which is great (easier to carry), but the Periodic Table was cut out as well.
Chemistry is lacking what my Environmental Science book so wisely has: a small dictionary, for terms one might be uncertain of (it is always nice).
It would have been even better if there was a (better) chapter summary, perhaps with highlighted boxes indicating rules and formulas (the current asks questions without giving answers, meaning you have to leaf through the pages for some time.)
These are criteria for a near "perfect" chemistry book, but it is already well-explanatory with lots of examples!
All in all this is a great chemistry book, especially for us university students and if you remember to read up on basic chemistry, this book will be easy!
