Two men (one Chinese and one Japanese) want control as innocents are forced to play marionettes. I would have given this 4 stars but it had a 5 rating which I hated to lower.

One of the Sanctum reprints that foreshadowed Batman's giant prop sets in the comics. A literal page-turner of a story that speeds from start to finish with lots of pre-World War II complications that don't give The Shadow or the reader a chance to breath as the black-clad braves the wilds of New York's Chinatown.
