Dramatic Story, Scientific Refutation, Cultural Failing

This well written 1973 refutation of Rachel Carson's amateur contentions against DDT presents the fascinating history of DDT as well as the scientific proof of its safety. In the process, it condemns Carson and government bureaucrats for the untold suffering and deaths of millions around the world due to malaria, yellow fever, and typhus, which the freedom to produce and sale DDT could have prevented.

This is the book which should have become the popular educational tool for universities, rather than the selective anecdotes and fantasies, presented as science, of Silent Spring.
