I actually finished this a few hours ago but i forgot and watched another episode of Misfits lol. So yeah this is a really enjoyable read. Quite funny and an interesting mix of coming of age and superheroes. Would definitely say it's worth the read

This was full of great ideas. The only caviat for me would be its protagonist who's falling in the "unapreciated genious who solves everything" trope.

3.5 stars. Great concept and plot, but the transitions, particularly artistic, were way too jarring. Where required to carry the story forward instead of just illustrating, the art was also weak, IMO. Which isn't to say that the art was bad at all, just that it isn't deft in its storytelling. I did really like the dialog, for the most part, though again some of the scene transitions were just off. Loved the in-jokes, of course.

A decent story of a normal boy surrounded by superpowered kids! He's clever and has a lot of heart.
There were a few points in this volume where I had trouble following the action from one panel to the next, and the art is as you see on the cover: sketchy, not overly detailed or defined. Characters are distinguishable not by face so much as overall design and coloring. The story takes some unusual turns - I enjoyed it!

The art is superb, and the writing is pretty damn great, but this also felt a little drawn out to me. Maybe that is just a sign of my impatience, You can be the judge should you choose to read this book. :)

Tells the tale of a boy who is convinced that that superheroes are real. I didn't expect to enjoy this but was pleasantly surprised by the hopeful ending.
