After being infected by a pure vampires blood, Emily has been training with an elite secret organization and is about to do her trials and finally be able to leave. However, things are not always what they seem and Emily has difficult path in front of her. Not only has she lost people close to her, she has mixed emotions about Gaius who is her leader and she is avoiding after a strange night spent together.
This story tells from different perspectives including, Abby, Noel, and Gaius. I had not read the first two but going back to see where it all started. I was fascinated with Gaius, you know Emily has been harboring a crush but is doing everything she can to keep it to herself. Fast paced exciting story, anxious to see what happens next.

This was a great extension of this story arch. I look forward to the final two books of this series. If you enjoyed the characters thus far, you will enjoy this story.
