excellent book on reaching Muslims to Christ which could be applied to any other non Christian group actually. I am so thankful to Jim, out missionary in France, who recommended his book. I guess he knows him because of Om and his leader. i was edified and taught and encouraged to reach out to them. we work with so many of them. anyways it's an excellent resource for ministry to that group. I lived his interaction with them and his focus specifically on Jesus. similar in so many ways to Carl Medearis.

The book is excellent on practical engagement with Muslims and also strong on principles of engagement. The author is an experienced evangelists and it worths our time to read him. Particularly helpful are the way he has dispelled many western myths about Islam. Western media does not give us an accurate picture of what Islam is really like. The media and westerners are controlled mostly by fear and unfounded romanticism.

While the concept is certainly not new, this book reignited in me a desire to seek out the lost in love. Its insights go far beyond engaging with those in Islam and apply to reaching the lost in any context.

As someone who knows many Muslims, I found this to be a clear, practical, and helpful resource—one I expect to reference when engaging in conversations with patience and love.

There were a few areas where I might approach things differently, but the author’s teaching remains firmly rooted in orthodox Christianity and the authority of God’s Word, which I deeply appreciate.

Overall, it was a solid read—valuable not only for engaging with Islam but also for rekindling a passion for the lost. After all, that is the Great Commission!

It has certainly earned a spot on my reference shelf for future conversations and responses.

One of the best books on how to share the gospel with Muslims I’ve ever read. The author is incredibly informed and writes with decades of experience. Well worth the read.

At it's most basic level, this is a good introduction for Christians who haven't previously read anything about Islam or engaging Muslim people. Houssney truly loves Muslim people and desires to help them come to a living faith in the Messiah, and this comes through. Many of his practical suggestions for witness are also good introductions to this for many.

In my opinion, however, this book falters when Houssney makes blanket generalizations (e,g., serious essentializing concerning Arab peoples), or assertions vis-a-vis those with a more "contextual" approach. Altogether, I'd probably recommend Pastor Accad's classic, "Building Bridges" over this tome by his compatriot.

Houssney threw this book at me at a conference where I had the pleasure of hearing him speak - and I'm very glad he did! His book details what he shared with us at the conference. If you are interested in learning more about the veiled culture of Islam, this is an incredible read. He's very thoughtful, concise, and interesting in his approach to reaching muslims.

I read this for a class. Interesting information, but was hoping for more detail about the Islamic faith.
