Come experience a lottery unlike any other. The prize is not money, or a new car, or a trip to Bermuda. The prize is utterly priceless: time. The annual Time Lottery offers its winners a chance to go back into their pasts and change something--make a different choice. In this sequel to the Christy-award winning "Time Lottery", David Stancowsky, Vanessa Caldwell, and Lane Holloway win the chance to do just that.
* Can contractor David stop the love of his life from dying? * Can college student Vanessa break the patterns of family dysfunction before she makes a terrible mistake? * Can movie star Lane find true happiness when she returns to her life before she was famous?
Follow their journeys as they travel back into their lives and totally immerse themselves in their pasts, exploring what could have been--fully immersed, without memory of what happened the first time, or the life they've left behind in the future. They live their second-chance lives without the encumbrances of memory or the benefit of future lessons learned. At the culmination of their visit--after making their different choice--they experience Dual Consciousness, fully seeing their new past as well as remembering how it played out the first time around. They also remember what they've left behind in the future and face questions about what kind of future might evolve out of this new choice. One is known. The other is not. With all of this knowledge, they are given one more monumental choice: should they stay in their new reality (their Alternity) and live out their lives amid their new choice and its unknown ramifications and outcomes? Or should they return to life as they know it in the future, their lives made richer from the Time Lottery experience? What would you do? What life choice would you like to explore? Think about it...

What do an Vanessa, David and Lane have in common? In this sequel to "Time Lottery", they are the next three people chosen to go back into time for a second chance.
While reading both this book and "Time Lottery", something just bothered me about both, even though I enjoyed reading them. Then last night, it hit me....the Bible says "And as it is appointed for men to die once...." (Hebs. 9:27 NKJV), how can someone continue to live in the past while their body here dies? I realize it's just a fiction book but sometimes those kinds of details drive me crazy, especially in a Christian book or movie!!!
I loved this book, just as much (if not more) than the first one. I find it very thought-provoking. If I was able to travel back to an earlier time, which one would I choose? What would I do differently? And would I stay or return to the present?
Although time travel is yet only fictional, this book also makes me consider what God is leading me toward now and in the future. What gifts can I still use? As long as one is alive, it is not too late.
This book is a keeper. It shows that we are all human, no matter what our walk in life. As for myself, I really wouldn't desire to go back in time, as there isn't anything I would want to change. At least, nothing I can think of right now. But to have the opportunity to do so for some people would be very important.
This is the 2nd book in to Time Lottery. I really like it too. It is still giving 3 people a chance to change their lives and boy did they learn a thing or two this time. Also, it gave families an opportunity in the "here and now" to really evaulate what they may have done differently or what they could do differently. Like I said a good book!!
It's been a while since I read the first one, but it came back pretty quickly (without the mind numbing recap some books offer). Since this was about 3 new journeys, reading the first isn't necessary to enjoying this story.
Alexander Macmillan has more on his plate for the second round of Time Lottery winners. He not only has to deal with the three chosen and their stories, but he also has fallout from the first round to deal with.
David Stancowsky wants to go back to 1958 and prevent the tragic death of his fiancee.
Vanessa Caldwell wants to return to 1976 and get to know the mother she was kept away from for most of her life.
A list actress Lane Holloway wants to see what her life would have been like had she not been discovered at a movie audition as a teenager.
Along with the current participants, Mac also has to deal with his growing relationship with Dr. Cheryl Nickelby, one of the two previous winners who returned from her Alternity. He wants to keep it out of the press to avoid any hint of impropriety, but doing so puts a strain on their relationship. Mac has all he can handle dealing with the press and their incessant pushing for more information before it gets out of control. This time around, even more friends and family members of the chosen come out of the woodworks looking for their own fifteen minutes of fame, and if Mac isn't careful, it could lead to disaster.
I loved this one because I couldn't guess who was going to return from their Alternity and who would stay there. Each of the three found that nothing was exactly what they expected when they got to relive their pasts, and their decisions to stay or return were extremely difficult. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of their Alternities with the actions of those friends and family members they left behind to explore these second chances.
Ever want to explore your past choices? That’s what 3 lucky winners of the annual Time Lottery get to do. This second go at the idea of traveling back into your past has compelling characters and thought-provoking situations just as the first book had. This time we explore the themes of a tenacious press, obsession, and controlling behaviors woven around the question of what is true love, and the idea of a loving God. I actually liked the first book better, but still very much enjoyed reading this one. I recommend it to readers who enjoy exploring serious themes. It will make you think!
I didn't like this book as much as the first one in the series, but I still enjoyed it. I think the time lottery winners in the first book were easier to relate to and more realistic and I could sympathize with them. I didn't feel as much connection with the winners in this 2nd book, except possibly for Vanessa. Still an entertaining book that makes you think about things in your past that you might wish to go back and change.
I love time travel books and Nancy Moser has a terrific concept for transporting her characters back to a critical point in their own lives. This was the second in a series and I enjoyed this one as much as the first. There is a Christian overtone and it is not for those who are distracted by whether or not the fantastical is believable.
This book was just as good if not better than the first. There seemed to be a lot more going on in the present than the last book with all the characters’ lives instead of just focusing on just one. Very well written. I have really enjoyed this author.
Second Time Around is the perfect follow-up to Time Lottery. If we could really know how our decisions will affect the future, how different our lives would be.
I enjoyed book one in this series but was surprised I thought this book was even better than the first. A few people are given a second chance at life.
“Can David Stancowsky stop the love of his life from dying?” “Will Vanessa Caldwell break the patterns of dysfunction before she makes a terrible mistake?”
“Why does Hollywood A-lister Lane Holloway want to return home?”
While Time Lottery spokesman Alexander MacMillan manages the increasingly dangerous paparazzi on the outside, the contestants face agonizing decisions about their futures - and each are called to search their core beliefs for answers.
This is a great read and one that would work well with book clubs. This story is rich, fun and thought provoking! I highly recommend it.

I read the first one many years ago. This is the second one and because it had been so long for me I was unable to remember much about the first one.
I still enjoyed this book.
People bought tickets to be able to travel back in time for a week to anytime in their life. They chould choise to stay in the past or come back after a week. Nothing would change in the future if they stayed in the past.
Person 1 - a famous actress went back in time to before she was famous Person 2 - went back to before his finance died and stopped that Person 3 - went back to before she had an abortion
Now it is your job to read the book and find out what happens....
Love, love, love this book!!! It was such a well done thing on exploring the path not taken. I loved how their lives intertwined, and it was just insanely interesting. I couldn't quit thinking about the book. And if I had a week to decide the week I wanted to go back and "do over".
I liked the premise of the book. The author did a good job with it. I liked this one almost better than the first book. If you haven't read the book, you really should.
