Austin Riggers doesn't have an ounce of self-worth. His parents made sure to rid him of that. But he still thinks he deserves someone to call his own. Sully, a soldier to the alpha Zeus, finds he has two mates. Two mates who think he's out to con them. Sully doesn't understand the mistrust and nonbelieving ways of his mates, but he's determined to break down their walls and show them a life they deserve to live. Julien thinks he's damaged goods with an injured leg. He hides from the world in his flower shop until his lover, James, cons Julien into coming down to Theo's. Julien's life takes a drastic turn as events pull him from his comfort zone and throw him into a life he feels he doesn't deserve. Can Austin and Sully save him from con artists out to steal his savings, and can his mates show him that he is more than his injury?

This was book 6 in the "Zeus's Pack" series. This was a short quick read that I thought was good. Sully is a soldier for the alpha Zeus he also went through a lot with the old Alpha Jackson. Austin Riggers has been told his While life that he will never be nothing he doesn't trust easy. While eating at Theo's he over hears two men threatening a man so he jumps in to help. Julien thinks he's damaged goods with an injured leg and he is a small rate shifter he also doesn't trust easy because his boyfriend James turns out to be a con man and when he force him to give him all the money in his savings account Austin helps him. Julien who doesn't trust anyone he wants to be with Austin but he doesn't understand why Austin wants him. These two meet Sully at Theo's while James and his friend Eddie are threatening them Austin is overprotective of Julien and Austin wants to let him know that Julien is his. Sully can't understand why his and are so distrustful when he goes to Julien's shop he sees that someone has broken in and all help breaks out. This was a good book Austin is hurt while protecting Julien. I also felt bad for Chey and what he is going through when the doctor told him that Austin will never walk again Zeus brings in Chey to heal him. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This sixth book added another few characters to the cast that is Zeus's pack, with a human, a fox shifter (very cute and unusual) and a wolf warrior as partners. All three of these men have been rejected and/or abused, but the way they come together makes them realize there is hope for them.

Julien has issues with his self-worth, all due to the fact he limps. His 'boyfriend' is a total asshole and I was yelling at Julien to break up with the idiot within the first few pages. Julien is a fighter, though, so once he stands up for himself, things quickly get better. Austin is aspitfire, totally devoted to Julien, and a very nice guy despite his awful family. Sully has his own internal pain to deal with, but he is physically strong and ready to protect his mates against anything and anyone. That skill is very much needed, as the three navigate several obstacles before they can enjoy their happy ending.

If you like shifter stories about lost and rejected men finding a home with each other, hot m/m/m ménages and an entertaining, light read, you will probably like this book.

Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each):
Brac Pack
Christian's Coven
Zeus's Pack
Demon Warriors
The Exiled

These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.

One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order):
Brac Village
Shadow Tribe
BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids)
The Remus Brothers
Wolves of Desire

Sí, estuvo lindo. Amé a Julien.
Pero lo que más me gustó fueron los avances de las historias de Theo y sobre todo, mi favorito: Chey y Eagle 💘.

2012 Review:

Strangely enough, this one ended on an almost happy note. Well, okay, the main triad ended on a pretty much jubilant note and then the tiny last bit for the next volume was full of optimism, especially considering the drama there.

This was an okay book. Something was lacking but I can’t quite figure out what it was. Might be because I am sickly today. Or maybe things just happened too fast with a lack of real connection between all of these three men. For example, Austin invariably ended up as the middle man in the sex scenes.

Speaking of which, while there’s way too much sex in all of these books, at least the scenes themselves don’t drag out forever. On occasion things are actually over pretty fast. XD That’s good in this case.

Back to the book. So I did like Austin, and Sully was nowhere near as annoying as I might have expected him to be based on his previous appearances. Julien, though? I can’t entirely make sense of him. He is a weird mix of aggressive and submissive. Not sure I like him that much.

Maybe this volume spent a little too much time on setting up future volumes and the next spinoff series and that produced a bit of a disconnect. Then again, while that was going, the sex scenes were a lot less frequent. I guess it’s an exchange I’ll take!

On the whole, as I mentioned, this was okay though. Certainly nice to get a bit of a breather from the usual depressing back story. Yeah, it was here too, but only in the fringes.

typical lynn hagen serial romance. nothing fantastic, nothing so bad it can't be finished. what is typical lynn hagen? imagine a shorter harlequin romance but with no t&a (see, i was going to write no surprise pregnancies, but... yeah.).

out of sheer laziness, i will be using this as my template for all books by :
lynn hagen
stormy glenn
scarlett hyacinth
carol lynne
gabrielle evans

unless otherwise noted. i'd apologize, but i'm not sorry. i figure it's about as much time as they put into their books. dammit! well, i made it all the way to the end being rather moderate in my assessment. that's a win.

I really liked this one, I know I have said that about all of these but it is true, it was interesting watching them all work out their issues. I would have liked to see Austin's mother get more of a show down, only because she is so horrible I would have liked her to be taken down a peg or two. My only complaint about this series is that we don't get to know the why, like why Austin's parents think so little of him and I do like to know why, but I can live with the not knowing.

I absolutely loved this. Austin, Julien, and Sully were awesome. There's two vile bullies in this book who won't leave Julien alone, and that's usually what's hard for me to read. Austin (human) had utterly horrible parents, which made me so happy that the three guys had found each other. I'm also super glad that the new house is finally finished. I'm really behind on this series, but I definitely plan on catching up, and enjoying every moment of it. :D

There was a bit more story to this one. I loved seeing glimpses of future stories as well. The main characters in this one fit together so well. Austin was my favorite. He is so generous and warm. With his background one wouldn't expect it but the story shows there is more to someone than how they are raised.

This was MUCH better than the previous installment in the series. The men were mature adults taking responsibility for their lives and relationship and this made for a good romance with a bit of mystery.

I really liked Sully, both the book and the character. We have a lot more going on and the three guys worked so well together. I liked seeing Chey again and am looking forward to Eagle's book.

The story about Sully/Julian/Austin is good. It would have been much better without an overflow of characters that I can no longer keep straight.

I don't understand why neither Austin nor Julien thought to call the cops in the first place, I mean it's not like they had a bad rep for being corrupted or anything.

I know Sidney is supposed to be a comical relief but I think he's annoying.

Lame, lame, lame. The characters are lame, the story is lame because no self respecting con artist would get physical, con artist are known for relying on their charm and skipping town at the hint of a trouble, them doing the opposite makes them lame as well.
