FBI Agent Justin Dorm has been undercover for the past two years. When an opposing drug lord enters the home where he is working, Dorm knows something isn’t right. The man feels wholly evil and Dorm finds himself in the middle of a bloodbath.
Bobby Saldaña was pulled off the streets at a young age to work for Diaz Chavez. He's wanted Dorm since first laying eyes on the man. But Dorm has made it very clear that he wants no part of Bobby—that is until all hell breaks loose and the two must run for their lives.
Deputy Ernest Varnes knew that Dorm was his mate when the agent left town two years ago. When out on patrol, Ernest discovers Dorm and another man sleeping in a car behind Lassiter's clothing store.
But their troubles have just begun. Not only has a shadow god marked Bobby, but Bobby fights the mating tooth and nail, putting himself and the others in danger.
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
This was book 10 in the "Zeus's Pack"series. FBI Agent Justin Dorm has been undercover for the past two years. When an opposing drug lord enters the home where he is working, Dorm knows something isn't right. The man feels wholly evil and Dorm finds himself in the middle of a bloodbath. Bobby Saldana was pulled off the streets at a young age to work for Diaz Chavez. He's wanted Dorm since first laying eyes on the man he knows that Dorm is his mate he is an ocelot shifter. Deputy Ernest Varnes knew that Dorm was his mate when the agent left town two years ago. While out on patrol he finds Dorm sleep in a car with Bobby. This was a pretty good read Bobby can't believe that his mates are both cops. When he leaves he is attacked and almost killed he is bitten by some hounds he has also been marked by a demon that's escaped hell. With the wing beast help Bobby recovers. This was a good read that I liked. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
The winged beasts make a big appearance. After finding out that escaped ancient god has marked Bobby and wants to drain him, the winged ones are decided as the best defensible position. Not... Oh and hellhounds and fighting another bite(s) wound.
Actually not tooo bad. However I didn't find this to concern Zeus's pack much at all. And, since Ernest is a member but not one of the elite forces of the pack he didn't think he'd have two mates.
I personally think that not ALL of the pack NEEDS to have two mates.. Don't know if I'm alone there. I'd like to see a male threesome in this series (since its doubtful that it will drop to mm) that ALL parties are all involved. They ALL take and ALL give and no one is always in the absolute bottom. Bobby doesn't take either of his mates, mater of fact there was no claiming on his part mentioned, just Ernest.
So, I didn't care for the 'let's make a situation for angst and then basically take care of it like, snap, now with someone badder but not someone who the MCs are part of his radar...' Nice, neat, tidy, almost what the hell was the point...
Since this is part of the Brac Universe I'll have to keep up with it for the overall arc but I doubt I will be overjoyed and ready to whoop whoop it. Since I've read the previous books I didn't do reviews and I've kind of left off of threesomes so that definitely affects my views now.
Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire

Summary:
Dorm's life was difficult enough working undercover to get evidence to convict a drug lord, but he instinctively realized tha the man who arrived was pure evil. Things quickly went south forcing Dorm to flee with a worker, Bobby, who he later found out was unwilling forced to work there and his mate, but that was just the beginning of the story. Dorm managed to find his way to Pride Valley and the mate he left behind, Ernest. Dorm may have been a regular human, but his dominance and strength may be needed soon as he and his two mates get embroiled in the struggle between good and evil. It was sad how Bobby felt he wasn't worthy of having a mate let alone two of them. Dorm and Ernest were willing to give him the support and space he needed to realize that they needed him as much as he needed them. Add the paranormal aspects help create an incredible story that never let up until the very end.
If I sound surprised, that’s because I am, no matter whether that lack of faith might be deserved or not. It’s just that I’ve had a rather long string of busts with this author in the past year or more, plus I am never too keen on threesomes to begin with.
But in this case I liked the way it began and how the three were linked and all that. Things lost a little of their appeal later on but not in a huge way. Still a good read for this series.
Even the overarching story had a bold development I approve of. (I don’t really buy Jaden’s evilness; for one thing he has a hero name, which is always a giveaway; also he reminds me too much of his nephews, who went through the same kind of setup. Speaking of which… Christian really should not refer to Jaden as his uncle. I thought his parentage was still considered a secret to all but very, very few.)
This book was very good. It had so many twists and turns it kept me reading until I was done. Dorm,Bobby and Ernest went through so much with each other that I was rooting for for them. These three finally admitted their feelings for each other. I can not wait for the next book in this series. Erin
Rating: 3 stars The problem with this book was I didn’t really care for two of the three main characters. Bobby was just obnoxious and annoying for most of the book. Dorm was overbearing and just not very likable. The only one I really liked was Ernest and I felt sorry for him having to put up with his other mates.
I was actually enjoying this story until the new villain from Brac Village shows up. It was just so contrived especially when the timelines certainly don't mesh together.
Ok so the book is pretty fast paced with only a few slow parts. As always this is a cookie cutter type plot but it works. I love all of Lynn Hagen's books and can't wait for the next one in the series.
