I'm reading this book in 2020 which is a leap year. The book was written without a leap year in mind, so February 29 has no reading. As Lucado has published a lot, I'm sure that could be corrected if the book is ever re-issued.

I have enjoyed other Max Lucado books more. For me, these meditations were too short and just bits and pieces gleaned from other books he's written. Maybe it motivates readers to read or reread those books. While I enjoyed some days more than others, in general, I did not find it a helpful "inspirational" book.

This is the second volume of the series, "Grace for the Moment". There are inspirational thoughts in here; month by month and day by day. Bible verses begin each page, but the explanations are for lay persons who are not always familiar with the Bible."How about regular ladle dips into the well of God's grace? Drink deeply, my friend. And drink daily."
This is not a "preachy" book, but a book that brings common thoughts to Bible verses.

This book was not as great as it could have been. Many of the devotions were obviously from Max Lucado's books and had larger points to them which made this book really choppy. I would definitely recommend reading Max Lucado's books instead of this devotional book because the actual books are so much better.

I began re-reading this late January 2022 and faithfully (mostly) stuck with it over the past year. Some days seemed to be the balm or motivation needed at that period of time in my life. This will be a good book to keep on hand for when I need a reminder that I'm not in this journey of life alone. I have God on my side when it seems like the humans have forsaken or forgotten about me.

I love the way Max Lucado has with words. He has a great gift from God. I felt the Holy Spirit following me each day as I picked it up to read. Thank you.

I enjoyed the daily readings. I would prefer consistency with respect to scripture. Pick one source, and stay with it.

"Grace" is the perfect daily reader. One page of thoughtful inspiration and God's promises. I found this book to be a good companion to the start of my day with a cup of coffee.

Great book for short daily Scripture reading. Each day of the year gives Scripture and a Max Lucado story and/or thoughts on which to reflect.

The humble heart honors others.

Is not Jesus our example ? Content to be a carpenter. Happy to be mistaken for the gardener. He served his followers by washing their feet. He serves us by doing the same.
Each morning He gifts us with beauty. Each Sunday He calls us to His table. Each moment He dwells in our hearts. And does He not speak of the day when He as " the Master will dress Himself to serve and tell the servants to sit at the table, and He will serve them " (Luke 12:37)?

If Jesus is so willing to honor us, can we not do the same for others ? Make people a priority. Accept your part in this plan. Be quick to share the applause. And, most of all, regard others as more important than yourself.

Love does. For love "does not boast, it is not proud." (I Corinthians 13:4 )

A beautiful devotional that applies to daily life very well. It's short and sweet and gives me strength when I need it most. I love this book and give to friends as a gift sometimes. I highly recommend it for those who aren't really devoted to devotionals, you can read them very quickly and dwell on their simple messages throughout the day.

4.8 Stars. This is actually the third year in a row that I've read this daily inspirational installment, and I keep rereading it because it is so good, and gets my day started right. When I get up in the morning the first thing I do is read the day's portion, and it is always well written and very inspirational.

I enjoyed the daily mini devotions that also spark an urge to read the passages more in depth later, and it's small compact size allowed for easy traveling.

I have loved reading this book from year to year. A daily reminder of what the Savior has done for me. He has a way with words.
