This is little more than a standard celebrity bio, but if you, uh...appreciate Al Parker's talents (acting or otherwise) you will probably enjoy this. It's a fast, easy read.

An excellent biography of one of the most famous gay pornstars of the 70s and 80s. I found it was well-written and well-researched. You get an insight into Al’s personal life outside of porn and it is one of the best written gay porn biographies compared to the others out there that read like a cheap e-Book that isn’t proofread. I would recommend this for anyone who is queer and lived through the 70s and 80s , any gay porn history enthusiasts or those wanting an insight into gay porn film and marketing in its earlier stages before the release of VHS tapes and the AIDS crisis. This book is hard to find but worth the heftier price tag online.

Al Parker was my first HUGE ;-) crush. He definitely set the bar high on my idea of the perfect otter/bear. Loved reading of his escapades as well as his sexcapades. All I can say is 'What. A. Man!' Unfortunately, the book had many, many typo's that good proof reading or a good editor could have fixed/solved.

If you liked Al Parker, you'll definitely want to read this. Too bad they shy away from frontal nudity in the pictures -- that's kind of the point, isn't it?
