The third chapter in the sensational Adventures of Riley Amazon River Rescue reads like the classic children's books of old, with morally-centered characters, dramatic plot twists and enough captivating science to hold the attention of even the most reluctant reader.
I thought this book was just alright. This book would be great for a student or child who is interested in animals and likes to learn about nature, but I don't see any real application rather than that. This book lacked a story that was intriguing and had no message for readers, rather the story was just a mode to inform the reader of random animal facts.
Very nice introduction to the Amazon Rain Forest. Illustrations packed with animals. Little fact boxes with interesting facts about animals or plants. Would definitely like to read some of the other Adventures of Riley series.
This was a very fun picture book. I gave a lot of accurate scientific information and had great pictures. I really enjoyed this book and I think it would be a good tool to use in helping kids get interested in science.
