Early on, Essie McBane set her standards high and waited for true love. She never expected the answer to her prayer to literally fall from heaven in the shape of a warrior angel with chestnut curls and a celestial body. As much as she'd love to teach the divine creature a thing or two about sex and lust, can she be responsible for leading him into temptation?
Sinfully handsome Cam-ael, an angel, is wounded in the second war between heaven and hell and plummets into the arms of a beautiful human. But Cam knows he must return eventually, no matter how much he likes the material pleasures of earth. Not to mention the sensual pleasure he's found with Essie.
But when his mortal feelings for Essie draws a demon into the midst, can Cam protect her or will he learn the true meaning of the word sacrifice?
Bianca lives in Texas with her baby grand piano and is very fond of her snazzy little convertible. She has two sons, one in England, the other in Texas. She enjoys reading, horses, symphony, theater and writing (living in other locales and other people’s minds). She still believes in the power of love—and the power of lust—and enjoys delving into the soul of both the L-Words, bringing to life hot men and the hot women who love them.
Wow, awesome read, I was immediately drawn to the story from the first paragraph. With the description of the angel fallen out of the sky with nothing on but a warrior’s breast plate on, huge white wings, and the ordinary human female getting an eyeful of all hard and long male, I knew I was going to like the story immediately.
The connection between the characters was breathtaking and electrifying. I loved Cam-ael’s curiosity about everything and Essie’s was the perfect female, strong, yet tender when need be. Their erotic love scenes were steaming hot and oh my was one scene in the air heavenly orgasmic with Essie clinging to Cam-ael around the neck with her arms and her legs wrapped around his waist both nude with his long hard boner buried deep within her as he took her in flight into the air making love – sex on the wing as Cam-ael would call it.
Though the erotic scene was very nice there was a story line here and I liked the action of the fighting with the two demons where Cam-ael kills one and Essie’s bravery kills the other. The ending was perfect as Essie didn’t get the punishment due for stealing an angel - “Death”, no her bravery and actions in protecting and saving an angel’s life added years to her life and a future to look forward to with her now mortal and aging angel.
I look forward to reading more of this authors work, Excellent Read!
Reviewed for THC Reviews Celestial Sin is an erotic paranormal romance novella that tells the story of Essie, a thirty-nine-year-old divorcee who has never quite given up on true love, although she never would have expected to find it when an actual angel literally falls at her feet. Cam-ael is a warrior angel who was injured in the second war between heaven and hell, which resulted in him plummeting to Earth. Essie cares for him as he recovers from his wounds and he almost instantly falls in love with her, deciding that she’s someone for whom it would be worth becoming a fallen angel. While Essie instantly lusts after the gorgeous Cam, she resists his overtures to make love for a while because she’s worried about what might happen to them if they do, but eventually she can no longer resist. However, when Cam’s presence draws his demon foes into their midst, he is concerned about whether he can keep Essie safe, and there very well could be consequences for him defecting from the heavenly ranks to be with a mortal.
Overall, Celestial Sin was a pretty good read, although not a perfect one. It’s a little short on character and plot development. We don’t really get much backstory on either character or any strong reasons for why they fall in love with one another, which happens almost instantaneously. I was willing to overlook it to some degree, though, because I did feel an emotional connection between them. The plot is pretty simplistic, too, with the demon adversaries being dispatched fairly easily and a pretty magical solution being presented that gives them their HEA despite her being mortal and him being immortal, as well as circumventing the consequences for him having violated the rules of heaven to be with her. The love scenes are steamy and plentiful with those and their lusty thoughts taking up most of the page count. However, more environmental details to set the scene better and more connecting details to pull everything together cohesively wouldn’t have gone amiss. It was just sometimes a little difficult to envision what was happening in my mind’s eye. Despite my critique, though, I did enjoy this story for what it was. It has a sweetness to it that I enjoyed. I also liked Essie and Cam for as well as I got to know them. I like that Essie didn’t let her divorce sour her on finding true love. Since Cam is a virgin, he’s a very sweet and tender lover, while also being eager and passionate, and he’s very protective, too, all admirable qualities. So all in all, not a bad read at all. Unfortunately it appears that this novella is no longer available for purchase at this time.
Note: I’ve categorized this story as an erotic romance because the ratio of sex scenes to page count is high. It also contains an abundance of explicit language, but otherwise the love scenes are on par with steamy romances with nothing particularly kinky.
This may be an erotic romance but I personally found the story of an angel who wants to learn about sex and the woman who loves him but doesn’t want to cause his downfall a delightful bit of whimsy, also. There’s plenty of eroticism both in the description and in Essie’s thoughts, and hovering around in Cam’s mind, also, with plenty of sexual tension going on in both camps. Here is an angel who’s been forbidden sex suddenly discovering that the presence of a female human stirs longings in him he wishes to experience. It’s a sensual story and a romantic one and when Camael has to make his choice, you’ll be cheering him on to make the correct (for him) one.

Do you live alone? What would you do if the perfect male specimen that you had been praying for or dreaming about suddenly fell from the sky at your feet?
That is exactly what happened to Essie McBane in this somewhat funny, yet charming story. Essie lived on a farm she had inherited from her Uncle. Alone, living a lonely life she prayed often for her dream man to show up putting an end to her life of solitude.
Cam-eal an angel fighting in heaven trying to save his brother Michael is wounded and falls from heaven onto and into Essie farm and life. Lying at her feet is the perfect male, quite nude and injured.
Cam’s curiosity is almost childlike in a way. But it doesn’t stay that way for long. He feels if his was given the parts why not use them. Poor Essie doesn’t want to be a part of Cam becoming a fallen angel.
They dance around the issue of sex for a while. Not able to ignore the chemistry that has been there from the beginning they end up having very hot, steamy sex. The scene in the air, no clothes, she is wrapped around him…nothing but wings. What a way to join the mile high club. I’ll like to put my order in for an angel now.
Ms. Swan wrote a delightful story of an older woman finding her soul mate in that of a younger man or rather angel. Well thought out characters along with a developed plot made for a successful whimsical story. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Essie and Cam-eal; I think that we just may see them show up in other stories from time to time. I look forward to more from Ms. Swan.
This is the first book by this Author that I have read, I will now be looking for more by her. A well written story that held my interest from cover to cover. Essie McBane has been waiting for true love she just did not expect it to fall from the sky. Cam-ael is wounded in the Second War in Heaven and has plunged to Earth. Reading their story kept me turning pages. This is a short fast story to read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
