This is a spin off of the character, Devlin, from the Dunkin, the Vampire Slayer series of novels. It's a rip off of X-Files, featuring a near indestructible alcoholic vampire, with few socially redeeming qualities, a wolf, a chimp, a few other off-beat characters and the end of the world...unless Devlin can can find some liquor in the non-alcoholic Mideastern lands.

This guy is a riot. Not only is it difficult to tell a good story, but it's even more difficult trying to be funny. Greg Crites does both extremely well. If you're not up on him, you need to give him a listen.

I recommend starting with his other series, Dunkin the Vampire Slayer, before listening to Devlin. You'll get a better sense of what's going on.
