Revenge gets a rock-n-roll edge in Jack Batcher’s novel Under a Thunder Moon. Jim Wolf the lead singer/ guitarist for his group the Howlers, discovers his girlfriend Alyssa Lang is cheating on him with his friend and band roadie Paul “Trailer Park” Prescott. Author and Musician Jack Batcher, currently lives and creates in Great River, New York. He is a Brentwood High School graduate, who also graduated with a liberal arts degree from Suffolk Community College. Jack has performed as a lead singer and guitarist either solo acoustic, or with a band in the New York area bars, clubs, & coffee houses from the Hamptons to Manhattan. Jack is also a guitar teacher who has encouraged his student’s creative pursuits for the past fifteen years and continues to give guitar lessons. Channeling his creative passions from writing songs and poems, Jack followed the muse towards writing books and self-published his first novel Death of a Pop-Star in August 2008. Jack had also written a few Children’s stories and the first of these that was illustrated Burnt Eggs and Scrambled Toast was also published in 2008. Then inspired by something at his job with the county by something called a “MOO number” mixed with Jack’s love of comedy, in December 2009 with his friend Kevin Stockton, the first Joke and Coloring book Silly Cow! was published. This was followed by Silly Halloween! published in 2010, and Silly Kitty! in 2011. In April 2011 Jack published another novel, this time a thriller entitled Under a Thunder Moon, which takes place on Long Island. Then in 2012 Jack released I’ve got a Song a Children’s illustrated music book. In May 2013 Jack published another Children’s book Are there Monsters in My Closet? Illustrated by Charles Berton. Currently Jack Batcher is as always in the midst of creating new books and songs. Due to be released this year is a collection of songs and poems entitled Scattered Pieces, a re-illustrated version of Burnt Eggs and Scrambled Toast, and a new joke and coloring book Silly Doggie!
