Target Identified's heroine, Alison, is strong, capable and gorgeous. She's a motorcycle-riding daredevil, a sharp-shooter, helicopter pilot and weapons designer. She meets her match in Richard, a sniper who is tall, dark, handsome and up to his neck in classified information. Alison and Richard cannot connect until they deal with a sadistic, serial killer who is stalking Alison and her family and an organization determined to steal the family company's top secret weapons designs. Alison, her friends and family demonstrate what Tom Wolfe calls "The right stuff" -- the best of military culture. I particularly enjoyed Aunt Maddie who rides a motorcycle with a gang of grandmothers when she's not running a bed and breakfast. Even Kebi the collie would give Lassie a run for her money in smarts and rescue timing. I enjoyed the read but darn it, now I want a collie!
