To paraphrase what Nan herself wrote towards the end, what goes on between consenting adults is their business and shouldn't be judged. As a work of literature, the book was well put together with a selection of scenes that Nan had orchestrated over the years. There were recurring themes and leitmotifs.

In spite of this, the reliance on drugs (both legal and illegal) throughout the scenes really stopped me from relaxing into the scenes themselves, hence the lower star rating.
