Nice read about every FA cup final from 1872 to 1980. It includes newspaper articles from the time. Interesting to see how the match was reported by the press.
Interesting fact: there were no subs until the 1966 final. Up to that point if a player was injured, the team would be a player down; or he could change position with another, and hobble around to keep the numbers. Can’t imagine this happening in today’s game!
