A lucid, compelling depiction, thoroughly researched and well foot-noted with a helpful appendix of the chronology. Oh and by the way, the description that's printed here has nothing to do with the book I'm referring to, which is Austerman's Sharps Rifles and Spanish Mules: The San Antonio-El Paso Mail, 1851-1881. Apparently there's a glitch. e
