"Change your thoughts and you change your world." Many books will tell you that you can achieve your goals; that you can find the work you love and flourish in it; that you can enjoy close supportive relationships; and that you can experience confidence and peace every day. But positive thinking is only half the battle. In the real world, it takes concrete suggestions and practical steps to make change happen. Organized into six broad categories for quick access and immediate insight, it covers 125 distinct personal goals.
Pretty outdated advice, especially regarding technology (get a computer, for example), but given how long ago the book came out I was kind of asking for it. Good advice otherwise, covering a wide range of topics, great for when you need a pick-me-up.
Lots of great tips for: employees taking charge of their performance, employers delegation and leadership, tips on saving-face and mediation/conflict resolution, customer service, and great quotes from lots of cool sources. This book is a collaborative of common sense and success principles- covers a broad spectrum of topics.
The first chapter was quite preachy and nothing but motivational quips and really it's aaallll like that, if it weren't for my reading challenge I wouldn't have read it all but I wanted it to count so I powered through. It's a shame none of these quips helped me stay motivated to read this book lol.
