I've had this book for what must be at least twelve or fifteen years and it's my regular go-to story when I want hot, exciting adventure, romance that makes my toes curl and villains so viciously awful I still can't believe them. This is the book that introduced me to the amazing Stella Cameron. The plot is intricate but seldom muddled because the characters are electric - vibrant and recognizable from the get-go. The book begins with an act of savagery, a revelation of amazing tenderness and an event which sets the story rolling.

From then on it is one hellaciously fine ride and I heartily recommend it. It's copyright 1995 (at least my version is), and to judge by the cover, it's been re-released. I'm about to re-read the next one, featuring a character who appeared in this one and made an impression on everyone. Ms. Cameron, this is absolutely a book to be proud of. Congratulations.

Romantisks un vienlaicīgi arī detektīva stāsts, bet no tā ir diezgan mazs. Gribās lasīt tikai dēļ romantiska pavediena.
