This is another name for Stella Cameron and after I read the book I realized there are stories for the friend and parents as well.
Donna is nineteen and what she wants is Bruce, who is 31 and a family friend. She has loved him forever and has planned out how to get him.

She asks him to search for her real father never expecting success but Bruce finds him, she then has to fess up. Bruce is shocked to say the least and asks her to take responsibility for her actions.

I found Donna a bit immature which is a give since she is pretty young but she is clear enough that she doesn't want Bruce to be another protector. Bruce does fall for her but tells her she needs to grow up and they need some distance.

It was pretty decent.

I found the romance between Bruce and Donna to be really frigging weird. He's an old family friend she's convinced she's in love with despite her being only 18 and him being 12 years older. That was disturbing. Not because of the significant age difference, but because he basically watched her grow up, and the way she pursued him freaked me out. If it had been him going after her like that this would be a horror story.

That and I just didn't like Donna's attitude with her biological father. She was so insistent on finding him, and was so worried about him not accepting her. But when she did and he welcomed her with open arms, that's when she starts having second thoughts? Really? This woman was an idiot. Not the worst book I've ever read, but that's as close to praise as I can get.

Reread of an old favorite. Rarely do you find a romance novel with a person of color. Well done.

Much better than "Choices", which is the story of Donna's parents. Stella Cameron did a good job of showing Donna grow up through the story. When the book began, I thought Donna was really an immature twit. The whole "trick Bruce into loving me" thing was stupid, but somehow it worked. Sometimes I was uncomfortable because I knew their relationship had been so uncle/neice for so long. However, by the end, I was hoping they'd find happiness together and they did. The ending of this book was really well done! I thought about it long after I put the book down, which is a good thing!

well, what can I say? I'm kind of surprise with this book. I'm mean, that cover is not a big deal, and even the argument is clichê. But then, the written is so light, funny and sensitive. All the personages are charming. Bruce is so sweet, I really wish could known a guy like him one day. The only at least is I miss more guilty thoughts of him, hohohohoho, that could be great for the reading

This romance was more interesting because of her learning about the Chinese part of heritage.
