Questions are powerful. Questions place a demand on the person being asked. And they can impact the dynamics of a relationship. In the Bible, it’s recorded that Jesus asked those who traveled with him for three years a very important “Who do you say I am?” (You can read the accounts Matthew 16:13–16; Mark 8:27–29; Luke 9:18–20)I had strong opinions about Jesus, before I ever read any of his words or accounts of his life in the Bible. When I finally read them, the experience was life-changing. And still is.Jesus is an actual person, not a myth. He spoke the common language of the times. Those who followed him for three years wrote books of the Bible called the Gospels. (Gospel simply means good news). These accounts have been handed down for almost 2000 years. The writers, also known as the disciples, were forever changed by their time with Jesus—and countless lives continue to be changed, centuries after the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
