9/11: The Simple Facts

Rate this book
Books on 9/11 tend to get dismissed as "conspiracy theories" but that won’t work with this one, because it contains no theories at all about who did what. It simply focuses on flaws in the official story that have led more than 1500 architects and engineers, with 25,000 years of professional experience (and tens of thousands of others) to demand a new, independent investigation.

The book lists fourteen clearly observable facts about 9/11 that the official story can’t explain, then provides a simple explanation that accounts for all of them. It raises hundreds of questions like:

Why has no other skyscraper ever been destroyed by fire, even ones that raged for seventeen or eighteen hours?

How could the Twin Towers fall so evenly and so fast, straight down through 160,000 tons of structural steel?

How could the smaller, lighter floors above where the planes hit completely destroy the much heavier, stronger and completely undamaged floors below?

For that matter, how could the top of the South Tower crush the floors below it if it began its fall toppling off them? (See the cover above.) If this was a gravitational collapse, they’re going to have to rewrite the laws of gravity.

To call this book unscrupulously researched would be a major understatement. Dude drops a lot of celebrity names who want an independent re-investigation of the attacks, like that's supposed to mean anything. He says that's all his book is asking for, but I dunno, it kind of seems like there's been a lot of independent investigators of 9/11 that by sheer coincidence are also anti-vax and think the world is flat.

Naiman asks a lot of questions that have been answered, and he does it in this very "what? I'm just asking questions" tone. He thinks this is enough to distance him from conspiracy theorists. Sorry dude. Sorry bro. Your lil book report that you clearly wrote the night before it was due is cute n creative but your sources are questionable.

Listen. This hoe does not support the government. The Patriot Act is an atrocity and I'm not here to defend it, but it's kind of a leap to say it was "obviously" pre-written and just waiting in someone's desk for the right moment.

Sure, there are 1500 architects and engineers who think the whole thing is a conspiracy. But there are half a million architects and engineers in the US. Do the math buddy.

This book is a little less vitriolic than a lot of 9/11 conspiracy stuff, and it brings up a few things I'd never considered, but on the whole it is conspiracy stuff no matter how much it pretends not to be.

This nonfiction book is not a conspiracy theory book. It is fact based information about what happened functionally when the towers fell and what was found in the debris afterword. This information is based on 1500 expert studies and eye witness reports including first responders. The "official facts" as reported to the public are presented as well as documented information that the government refused to talk about and did not put into their reports. Expert information on why some of the facts that were presented to the public and in the reports are not scientifically possible. Theories are not presented, only facts. Footnotes are provided to verify the facts presented and to give video links so the reader can watch the collapse to verify the inconsistancies of what the government says happened during the collapses of the towers. I found it a compelling book. It's a quick read at only 90 pages. I recommend this book to those willing to consider that our government may not always tell the truth about how things that would impact the American people actually happened .

“Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.”

I was reminded of the famous words of Sherlock Holmes while reading this book. It is a disturbing book. It is a book that leads you to conclusions you do not want to draw. It is a book that leaves you wondering, and probably angry. Are these people really that cynical and evil?

The premise of the book is to let the facts speak for themselves. I can only recommend that you read them and draw your own conclusions. I certainly did.

9\11 Cover Up!

The author is really good at laying out the information & letting you decide which makes the most sense! It is astonishing how most of us (myself included) take everything the government says at face value & due to our want to believe we do believe the crap they feed us!! While I'm Not a Structural Engineer or an Architect it is nice to know that there are several thousand of them who are speaking up about what it takes to bring 2 buildings like the Twin Towers down in the manner in.which they came down!!!

I had way more questions after reading this book than I thought possible...which was probably the point. I think of myself as somewhat of a conspiracy theorist so I knew I would enjoy this book. I've seen several documentaries and read other books and blogs regarding the conspiracies of 9/11, but this book held more information and new thoughts I hadn't heard or seen before.

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF VARIOUS "TRUTHER" ARGUMENTS

Arthur Naiman has written many other books, such as 'Every Goy's Guide to Common Jewish Expressions,' 'Computer Dictionary for Beginners,' etc.

He wrote in the Introduction to this 2011 book, "this book will restrict itself to the hard evidence that's led more than 1500 architects and engineers... as well as thousands of senior government, military, CIA and FBI officials, pilots and other aviation professionals, firefighters, 9/11 family members and survivors, scholars, medical professionals, broadcasters, reporters, authors, publishers, actors, directors and musicians, many of whom you'll recognize---plus tens of thousands of ordinary citizens you won't---to call for a new, thorough, independent investigation." (Pg. 5) He states later, "a book this size can only be an introduction. I've squeezed in as much as I could but I've still had to leave out lots of interesting and important material." (Pg. 65)

He states, "Many steel-frame high-rises have experienced much larger, hotter and longer-lasting fires than those in the Twin Towers, but not a single one has ever collapsed... 'Ah, yes,' you say, 'but those buildings weren't struck by planes.'" He then considers a 1945 B-25 bomber that struck the Empire State Building, and notes, "it didn't even begin to collapse. There have been many other substantial fires in modern skyscrapers and not a single one has ever caused a building to collapse." (Pg. 16-19)

He suggests, "if you need to make it look as if buildings were destroyed by planes that struck them on high floors, you have to start the controlled demolition up there, instead of at the bottom as you typically would. Since the detonators on cutter charges can be wireless and computer-controlled, there's no problem with doing this---you can create pretty much any scenario of destruction you want." (Pg. 42)

He points out, "a real-estate investor named Larry Silverstein... bought a 99-year lease on the World Trade Center in late July 2001. Immediately afterwards, he took out a $3.55 billion policy with a consortium of insurance companies ... it covered acts of terrorism... It's a little hard to figure out how much he eventually collected... Whatever he got, it was certainly a lot more than he paid in premiums." (Pg. 73)

This brief book doesn't contain much in the way of original arguments or documentation, but it is useful as a brief summary of popular "Truther" arguments.

Authors of 9/11: The Simple Facts, Arthur Naiman and Gregg Roberts, validate what eyewitnesses on September 11, 2001 in Lower Manhattan saw, and what people viewing their televisions were watching. The Twin Towers and World Trade Center 7 imploded with floors pancaking on top of one another. Office fires and jet fuel from the 2 airliners, none of which hit building 7, could generate enough heat to melt steel, as everyone saw happening, though the 9/11 Commission in the US Congress claimed that is what happened. The Commission's theory made assumptions that went against logic. They went against the laws of physics. They went against eyewitness accounts of what people heard and experienced at the scene.

Particles of thermite found in the debris were hot enough to melt steel and disintegrate everything, especially human bodies to ash. But how could thermite be in the debris when it is not a material inside the structures, unless someone places the particles inside the buildings?

What everyone saw after the collapse of these 3 buildings was mountains of ash blanketing streets and buildings all across Lower Manhattan. Tons of papers blasted out of offices in addition to body parts. When has a fire ever caused paper and human bodies to blast out of a room, especially paper and human flesh that was assumed to fodder the office fires, which allegedly melted steel and caused the buildings to collapse. What were the incendiary elements doing outside of the fires?

The authors open the readers eyes to suppositions and conjectures that make sense beyond the narrative presented by the 9/11 Commission. They present evidence and explanations that describe and illustrate what people saw happen, and for some even experienced. The events of 9/11 would not be the first operation and cover up conducted by factions of the United States government in the nation's 249 year history. But it is certainly the most deceitful, repulsive, and contemptible act by factions of the US government against its working class citizens.

The fact that questions remain unanswered to the satisfaction of logic is greatly disturbing. The fact that the US Congress and the US intelligence community just want these questions to go away, constantly giving the public the back of their heads as they walk away.

Wonderfully disturbing. There have been several incidents (JFK Assassination, for one) where the prevailing explanations have almost sufficed but then again not really. What actually happened? I doubt we will ever know, but for those that think critically, there are questions. Perhaps it is not the facts that matter so much but our questions that are significant? Dystopia or utopia? Which will it be? It starts with the ability to question. Of course, I wanted more, but the author did a good job on outlining paths for further research. It makes one wonder, and that itself is a gift.

This guy thinks that if a building is hit by a plane it should just take it and keep standing I guess?
