What a condescending cookbook. Geez.

While overall an interesting cookbook from the turn-of-the-century, I didn't find it very inspiring, nor appetizing, specifically, when the author puts American housewives and cooks in an out-of-the-way-category, that is, their cooking is subpar to the French way. It was interesting, however.
