This is an oldie but a goodie, reminding me why I’ve fallen arse-over-tits for HelenKay Dimon’s stories over the past decade.
Clocking in at a mere 50 pages, there’s no mucking around here, with visiting HR specialist Kari making a bold move on her final days at Coleman Engineering, on gorgeous and kind boss-man Matt.
Matt has been showing mountain heights of self-control for the entirety of Kari’s brief tenure at his company, but the moment she makes it clear that she’s just as interested as him, all bets are off as they give in to the burning passion between them.
Although low on plot or character/relationship development, the chemistry and steam-levels are high, with Dimon managing to grasp and hold the readers rapt attention from start to finish, easily reminding me why I love her stories as much as I do.
In this particular case, the enjoyment is fleeting because of the limited page count, but the bonus is that there’s a sequel, just as hot and addictive, following Matt’s cousin and business partner, Rob.

When I saw HelenKay Dimon tweet about her latest book Risqué Business, I immediately went to Amazon to check it out. I’m a big fan of her writing and the price was right - hello! .99 cents.
Risqué business in the office place can be risky business!
If Kari Reynolds, the Human Resources specialist Coleman Engineering hired to hold seminars about workplace ethics knew the inappropriate thoughts Matt Bradford had been having for the past three weeks about her and that sexy string of pearls of hers while she’d been pie-charting and writing up company policy - he may be the Boss, but he’d be written up for sure. So Matt was keeping his hands and his thoughts to himself since there was no way he was risking his job or career for a little risqué business with the hired help.
Well technically Matt’s not Kari’s boss since she is a hired consultant and you know what they say, the devil’s in the details. Besides technically she made the first move.
So after a little bathroom confrontation and then a little desk gymnastics, these two are quickly burning up the sheets. When Matt discovers Kari may have had her own agenda to get him into bed whether it’s the truth or not - he’s pissed. Men! Always jumping to the wrong conclusions without all the facts.
This was a cute, fast, little afternoon delight for an afternoon workout. I’m really liking these shorter stories that can hold my attention and keep me occupied while working out and I can finish in one trip to the gym. I’ve even found myself on more than one occasion actually working out a bit longer if necessary just to finish the book. It wasn’t required in the case of Risqué Business as I finished it in just under 40 minutes.

Whew...this one started off hot and just kept going! Kari and Matt want each other...bad! But unfortunately they work together, and oh yea, Matt is Kari's boss! She knows she shouldn't do it but after watching him watch her for three weeks she can't take it anymore and calls him out on his desire to have sex with her and ensures that she has the same want he does.
The scene in Matt's office was very steamy! And I can't help but love having an office as the background for some sex play. Hasn't every woman fantasized about their hot boss showing them why they are the alpha? Well if you haven't this story will change that.
I did like that they threw in some relationship drama so that it wasn't entirely about sex. I also appreciated the fact that the author shows how Kari is self-conscious about her size 8-10 body and that Matt does everything to show and tell her how beautiful she actually is. This was a very personal touch for me having been in similar situations with ex's who have made me feel insecure about my own curvy figure. The way Matt makes her feel about herself is as much of a turn on as the hot and steamy sex!

Contemporary Erotic Romance sums up this short story very nicely! Just thinking about the antics that Kira and Matt got up to in this tale steams up my computer screen...
Nice little afternoons read for those who love to see a "starched shirt" type A personality turned into jelly by the ministrations of a knowledgeable man! They say you cannot judge a book by it's cover, in Matt and Kira's case that is so true.

Aggressive, highly-educated, and likable female lead matches wits with an attractive corporate boss. Dual POVs and very short story. The steamy times in this book wasn't HOT enough for me, but the overall story and conflict resolution at the end was okay.

I haven’t read too many books by Helenkay Dimon before but I need to change that because I enjoyed this book. It was short, it was cute and pretty steamy. Me likey. Very much.
This book follows Kari Reynolds and Matt Bradford as they bang their way to their happy ending. Kari is an HR specialist that was sent to Matt’s company to hold HR related workshops for his employees and it’s really funny that she works in HR considering what she’s been thinking about doing to the big boss of the company she’s currently on assignment to.
Once her week of HR workshops is done, Kari does something she never thought she’d do. She comes onto Matt Bardford and even more surprising, he’s game….to everything.
This book didn’t read as a short story. There was enough character development and enough storyline to keep me satisfied so I was a happy camper while reading this. It didn’t take long to read but I enjoyed every minute. I thought Dimon did a great job of telling this story, keeping it entertaining without bogging it down with details that weren’t needed. The story moved at a fast pace but when it ended, I was happy. I was happy with the story, with the characters and I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series so kudos to Helenkay Dimon on this one. I’m a fan.

An erotic short which tried to be too much in too little time IMO. Possibly my book hangover continued. The sex was hot but the conflict was manufactured and the resolution too swift considering what an asshole the hero had been. I like this author's contemporary stories much better.

Fun little short of office romance.
I loved the start where the female lead came off as a kick-butt, take charge kind of lady.
Turns out it was an act and she was terrified of doing something so forward.
I can relate to that!

This is a very short erotic read with a happy ending. I really enjoyed the erotic side of the story... it's really well done. Enjoyable as a quick read. Too short to have a happy ending, though. Other than that. Enjoyable.

Innovative groveling scene. Wasn't impressed with the hero's brother though. I felt that he only told part of the story on purpose... Liked the second story better.
