Understanding Leadership

Rate this book
What does it mean to be a leader?

Based on years of proven experience and scholarly insight, Tom Marshall gives fresh perspectives on the essence of New Testament leadership. He describes how and why it is distinct from management, administration, or ministry and offers clear guidance on topics such as foresight, trust, criticism, caring, status, timing, failure, and honor.

Understanding Leadership also emphasizes lifestyle and attitude, helping you foster interdependence while maintaining identity and integrity within your church, business, or community.

A very challenging read which has taken me some time to finish. The Christian context is excellent but the book just seems to die without concluding. Mixed feelings.

Excellent book that Christian leaders need to read, meditate on, absorb and then put into practice.

This book has excellent views and explanations of various aspects of leadership; however, it can get pretty dry and it ends abruptly - no conclusion chapter and it ends on one of the down sides of leadership. Still, the meat of it is definitely worth getting into and it's theologically very sound.
