Many Christians do not handle grief well. Howard Eyrich seeks counsel in the pages of God’s Word and shows you how to work through your grief, emerging on the other side grown and matured.
This short booklet presents a biblical approach to grief. There are four main examples given - loss of a spouse (Abraham), loss of a parent (Joseph), loss of a child (David), and loss of a sibling (Martha and Mary). Eyrich does a good job of interacting with the over-used and mis-used "stages of grief" from Kubler-Ross, and instead presents a biblical model of disorganization, acceptance, and reorganization. Helpful, and a resource we will give to grieving people in our church.
This booklet is well done. He has a little different approach to grief that is extremely practical yet very Biblical. Get the booklet and give it to your grieving family and friends.
