Alex, the porter of a hotel in the heart of his local gay district, isn’t having the most eventful nightshift. Until he notices the man on the CCTV screen, alone and unmoving in a hallway upstairs.
A broken man, in need of comfort…
Luca is a rent boy huddled in a hotel hallway, hiding from the client who’s just assaulted him. He’s alone and helpless and in pain, until the hotel’s night porter finds him, tends to his wounds, gives him the kind of gentle care he’s not felt in so long.
A vulnerable request…
When Luca returns days later, he needs Alex’s help in a different way: help to feel safe again, to feel the touch of a man who doesn’t want to hurt him.
Can Alex help this beautiful, broken man feel whole again?
HIS TOUCH is the first in a series all about men who catch feelings quickly and waste no time acting on them. These stories are romantic, emotional, steamy, and best of all: quick to read . In HIS TOUCH, the central trope is hurt/comfort .
I rated this book 3.5 stars, so I rounded it up to 4 stars. This is the first book that I’ve read by Elena London. I thought this was a good book but wish it was longer, as it would’ve been that much better for these two to get to know each other properly and not just insta-lust/love but that’s part of the course with novellas. It was heartbreaking seeing what Luca went through but I’m glad that Alex found him, helped tend to his wounds and checked if he was okay. He showed Luca kindness and never judged him for his occupation. For little page time we got to spend getting to know Alex and Luca I thought it was a sweet story with them being together. Even though novellas aren’t my favourite I’m still going to read the next book in the series, after getting the teaser at the end of this book.
HIS TOUCH by Elena London – It’s a love at first act of compassion, so it feels a bit less saccharine. More insta-attraction than insta-love. Very sweet! Happy Reading!
