The Complete Idiot's Guide? to Horses will introduce new and prospective owners to every aspect of buying, riding, grooming, handling, stabling, training and caring for horses.
Readers will learn about the various horse breeds, what to wear while riding, how to saddle and mount a horse, and how to choose the right vet.
As an avid horse rider -until age 22 or so - I thought I still knew a lot. Getting back in to riding and ownership I found this a nice refresher with some new things I did t know. I actually learned a lot as this is a very comprehensive look at horses, riding and ownership. I’m not a dummy but I did like the book.
I used this book as a quick reference throughout my high school horseback riding and 4-H Club career. It was a great reference, and was also a fun, interesting read.
