Can prayer really change God's mind? Although it's difficult to conceive of this possibility, this is the question that Brother Andrew explores in this Biblically grounded, thought-provoking work. A new edition, from the author of God's Smuggler.
While the author was certainly inspiring in many ways to convince the reader that prayer is not utilized nearly as well as it should be, he certainly left something wanting in several areas, including his tendency not to cite actual speakers of quotes. At one point he even references a sermon by quoting it, then suggests the aim of the sermon and then dares to propose that most people get the intent of the statement wrong.
He also borders (throughout the book) on the Word of Faith heresy and has some very sensational views on what causes most natural disasters and diseases.
I won't turn the book upside down on my shelf, but will issue a warning to anyone I may lend it to in the future.
