As the Delta A track him and investigate the disappearance of more children, a far more sinister reality emerges, which demands the might of the Military, CIA, NCIS and the Russian FSB. I was digging this series up through the end of the second book. The sarcastic quips and romance between Max and Ellie kept the plot moving. However, this book was way to heavy on plot and lacking in interesting characters. There were also more dropped words. Another jarring note is that Ellie is suppose to be Virginia FBI but talks like she was born and bred on the British Isles. Note to author--no one in the US says "wee" or "in hospital"--to name a few..
