This was my second James Patterson novel, the first in the Alex Cross series. This was a great, gripping story. I enjoyed the first-person writing for Alex Cross and "The Mastermind." I also enjoyed the short chapters. They made it easy to find a stopping point when you needed.

One of the great things about the story was, just as I figured out who The Mastermind was, the author knocked me out of my chair by revealing I had it wrong. Fantastic.

I'm so confuse about the realationship between Kyle Craig and Alex Cross, and when he doesn't realize that its Kyle that is the mastermind.
