A young woman with amnesia washes up on a tropical beach in Southeast Asia to discover she's being simultaneously pursued by a cutthroat band of pirates, a ruthless Asian triad, and the relentless FBI.
. . . Lying face down at the edge of the sea lies the motionless body of a casually clothed red-haired woman. Little ocean waves move feather-light sand around her feminine shape. Her hair curls back and forth like drifting seaweed as the wavelets wash over and around her head. A coconut floating on a wave bumps against her shoulder . . .
I spent most of my life gathering experience for my stories. It's hard to believe but from a young age I thought writing would be the ultimate art form. The various jobs that I've worked at are common; the number of different jobs I've worked at is uncommon.
Wall Street brokerage house clerk. Manhattan taxi driver. Wooden boat builder in Maine. Winter scallop diver in Maine. Fishing boat captain in the herring fishery from Massachusetts to Maine. I founded Maine's first grape vineyard and winery: Cellardoor Winery
As a visual artist I worked in oils, watercolors and flame-cut steel sculpture. Stephen King owns two of my pieces.
I have lived in Maine for most of my life and worked and played on Penobscot Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Having lived on three different islands, several of my books are based on the island world. Few people ever get to experience this earthy life, filled with smart, passionate and intensely wild characters.
