This is a new author for me. But, it's a series and I've read the last book. So now I have to go back and read the others. Although this is a stand alone book, I really want to find out how Chloe got to her new school. This book is mostly about high school kids. Chloe gets into trouble she didn't do. While tracing down clues as to who is setting her up, Chloe runs across a worse set of for Davis, and Chloe gets dragged into it. Can't say anything else as it will give away the story.
Break and Enter is another highly entertaining book in the life and times of high school student, Chloe Yan. This time, Chloe finds herself being blamed for multiple things she hasn't done. Someone at school is framing her and making her out to be a cheat and a vandal. No matter what she does, Chloe can't figure out how to avoid getting caught red-handed by Mr. Green, even though she hasn't actually done anything wrong. To make matters worse, she cannot seem to convince anyone, except for Levesque, that she is innocent of all the charges.
It has been a couple of years since I read a Chloe & Levesque Mystery by Norah McClintock, and I am not sure why I waited so long to read the last book that I had. I found that I was instantly comfortable with the main character and the writing style. Every time Chloe was caught at the scene of the crime, I groaned aloud. I felt for her and really could not wait to get to the end of the book so I would finally understand everything that was going on the plotline. And when I finally finished the book, I let out a sigh of contentment. Well done, Norah McClintock, well done.
Young readers that love a good mystery that will keep them guessing with especially like this book, and this series. The story can be quite thrilling at times, and the characters are very well-developed. The pace of the story is fairly quick and the storyline is both intriguing and exciting. In other words, this is a wonderfully thrilling story that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages.
Overall, Break and Enter is an excellent mystery book that kept me turning pages late into the night. I really enjoy the main character in this series and love that these books take place up in Canada, my mother's home country. I found that I really had a smashing good time reading this novel and I only wish that Kane Miller published the other three books that are out in this series. So, if you are looking for a fun mystery series that involves teens and a little bit of murder, but with nothing too graphic, then pick up a copy of one of the Chloe & Levesque Mystery books today. You won't be sorry.
I thought that this book was a good mystery book and if you like mysteries you should read this book. Its about a girl named Chole, shes a perfect student one day the teacher finds a "cheat notes" under her desk. It was in purple pen, the only person who uses purple pen was Chole. The teacher and Chole didnt like each other much. One day, the teacher found his car after school all scratched up. And there was a purple pen left on the car. Chole & her dad, a police officer tries to find out who framed Chole.
You need to read any Chloe and Levesque Mystery, the interchange between the sarcastic teen and her stepdad chief of police is both funny and heartwarming. Love Chloe especially as a character, she works hard at school, she's smart and acerbic but her cutting wit causes a lack of peer friendships. In this story Chloe is framed for cheating and vandalizing the substitute teacher's car. There are, of course, breakins in cottage located in the town and then a murder. Any other detail would be a spoiler.
Break and Enter is By Norah McClintock.Break and enter is a mystery . Chloe was accuse of cheating on a test that she could of ace on and the substitute Mr.green accuse her of cheating because somebody slip a note sheet under her desk. Then some body went and break in to Mr. Green car and pop his tire and there was a purple pen Chloe aways uses to right her notes. Then somebody told her a little information about the situation. Then that was all she needed and she almost die to try to finger it all out.
This would make a great mystery series not only for reluctant readers, but for anyone looking for a fast-paced murder mystery that's also got good ongoing character development. Full review on Finding Wonderland: http://writingya.blogspot.com/2011/10...
